Project Director

Salary: Up to $200,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications) Start Date: December 2026 / January 2027 We are partnering with a leading structural steel contractor to recruit an experienced Project Director . This is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing organization delivering complex, high-value structural steel projects across Florida and the wider U.S. market. This senior leadership role will see you overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, acting as a key client-facing representative and ensuring successful delivery from pre-construction through project completion. You will work closely with internal design, commercial, and operational teams while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and general contractors. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale structural steel construction projects, with responsibility for project schedule delivery, financial performance, design coordination, and stakeholder management. Experience leading projects with construction values exceeding $80 million is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership across multiple structural steel construction projects Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders Oversee project delivery from pre-construction through completion Lead project teams to ensure schedule, quality, safety, and financial objectives are achieved Manage client relationships and maintain exceptional levels of customer satisfaction Coordinate design management activities, ensuring alignment between design and construction teams Support project planning, procurement, and resource allocation Oversee project performance, budgets, schedules, risk management, and cost controls Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder communications Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements Work closely with general contractors, subcontractors, and internal departments to drive successful project outcomes Mentor and support Project Managers and site teams to ensure consistent project delivery standards Minimum Qualifications Proven experience in a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Project Director, or similar leadership role Extensive experience within structural steel or steel frame construction Proven track record managing multiple large-scale commercial building projects Experience leading projects with construction values exceeding $80 million Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams Strong financial, scheduling, and operational management capabilities Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contracts, and project controls Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites throughout the United States – travel is mandatory Authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications Strong design management and coordination experience Pre-construction and bid support experience Familiarity with BIM, design software, and modern construction technologies What's on Offer Salary up to $200,000 per annum , with flexibility for the right candidate Medical insurance 401(k) contributions Opportunity to lead high-profile structural steel projects Exposure to complex and prestigious developments Long-term career growth with an expanding organization Collaborative and supportive leadership environment Opportunity to play a key role in shaping project delivery across a growing portfolio Frequent travel to project sites throughout the United States, with all authorized business travel expenses paid in accordance with company policy Expected start date of December 2026 / January 2027 Please note: This position requires frequent travel to project sites throughout the United States.
