Production Lead -1st Shift

Position: Line Lead - Manufacturing/Production


Summary:

The Line Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of an assigned production line while supporting production goals, safety, quality, and team development. This role combines hands-on manufacturing work with leadership responsibilities and serves as the primary point of contact for the production area.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily production line activities to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals

Train, coach, and support team members on processes, safety procedures, and production expectations

Monitor schedules, staffing, inventory, and workflow to ensure production targets are met

Troubleshoot equipment and production issues before escalating to support teams

Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Purchasing departments to keep operations running efficiently

Support continuous improvement initiatives, LEAN manufacturing practices, and 5S standards

Maintain training logs, documentation, and accountability tools

Assist in assembly and production work as needed

Ensure employees are clocked into the correct jobs and following procedures properly

Serve as a positive role model through professionalism, communication, accountability, and teamwork

Qualifications & Experience:

Previous manufacturing or production leadership experience preferred

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Experience with assembly processes, machine setup, and production equipment

Understanding of productivity goals, inventory management, and manufacturing workflow

Basic Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge

High School Diploma or GED required

LEAN manufacturing experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement throughout shift

Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs and occasional lifting up to 45 lbs

Ability to work in a production/manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels

Ideal Candidate:

Someone with strong leadership ability, manufacturing experience, urgency, communication skills, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced production environment.

Hours:

1st: 5:45 am - 2:15 pm
$25-$30/hr depending on experience
