Supply Chain Planning Analyst

Position Type: 9-Month Contract (with potential extensions) Pay Rate: $34.00 - $41.00 per hour Schedule: 5 days / 40 hours per week Start Date: ASAP Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive Supply Chain Planning Analyst to join our team in Franklin, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for balancing inventory levels and optimizing the supply chain network. The ideal candidate will possess strong DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning) or inventory planning experience, data-driven problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of working within SAP. Key Responsibilities Manage distribution requirements planning (DRP) and inventory planning to ensure optimal balance across the network. Utilize SAP and Excel-based tracking tools to analyze large datasets and monitor inventory metrics. Troubleshoot system-recommended supply chain movements to ensure accuracy and operational alignment. Assess the impacts of product innovation and renovation lifecycles on active inventory. Collaborate cross-functionally and support S&OP/IBP processes. Proactively communicate potential constraints, inventory risks (overstock vs. shortages), and solutions to stakeholders. Basic Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of experience in supply chain planning, logistics, or operations. Systems: Must have hands-on SAP experience. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (handling large datasets and tracking tools) is required. Core Focus: Direct exposure to DRP or inventory planning is essential. Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, a self-directed work ethic, and proactive communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Software/Tools: Experience with OMP (strongly preferred) or comparable Advanced Planning Systems (APS) like Kinaxis, o9 Solutions, or Blue Yonder. Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus. Industry Background: Prior experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), food & beverage, or pet care manufacturing industries. Certifications: APICS CPIM or CSCP certification (either completed or in-progress) is highly welcomed.
