Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator SupportThe Respiratory Therapist Vent is a Field Clinician who delivers specialized respiratory care to ventilator dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This role combines hands on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians and care teams to support safe, coordinated, and high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.Core responsibilities include maintaining and applying advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment, performing clinical assessments, participating in discharge planning, demonstrating and instructing patients and healthcare professionals, providing clinical follow up, conducting clinical in services, adhering to patient confidentiality and compliance requirements, accurately documenting patient care activities, maintaining complete patient records, utilizing continuing education, promoting AdaptHealth, acting as a clinical resource, ensuring clear communication, participating in on call rotation, completing compliance training, and performing other related duties as assigned.Why you're the best fit includes demonstrated experience providing respiratory care to ventilator patients, strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities, technical aptitude with Microsoft Office and clinical systems, and ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand regulatory requirements.Role requirements include an associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program, one year of clinical experience as a Nurse with ventilator exposure, valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license, CPR certification, and valid and unrestricted driver's license.Work environment is a field and in-office role that involves travel.
