LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)/CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT (CNA)

Job Description Job Description We are currently seeking professionally motivated LPNs and CNAs with the ability to undertake a variety of diverse tasks relating to patient care, in a long-term care environment. Maintain excellent communication skills while working effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
LPN RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE:
Admitting new residents
Assisting physicians during rounds of residents’ rooms
Assigning and delegating duties to non-licensed nursing staff
Monitoring resident care and supervising assistive nursing staff
Performing ongoing assessments of residents’ physical and mental health
Explaining procedures and treatment protocols to residents
Record a patient’s medical history accurately
Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
Assist patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
Administer prescribed medications, clean and dress wounds etc.
Collect samples for lab testing as ordered
Communicate with patients family as needed regarding care
CNA RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist nursing staff with patient care
Feed, bathe, and dress patients
Take patient vital signs
Report abnormal findings concerning patient care
Serve meals, make beds, and keep rooms clean
Set up medical equipment and assist with some medical procedures
Answer calls for help and observe changes in a patients condition or behavior

PAY RANGE:
LPN ($30-$32)
CNA ($20-$22)
* MUST BE LICENSED/CERTIFIED (COMPACT LICENSE ACCEPTED) AS REQUIRED IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA **
AT LEAST 1 OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
