Substitute Registered Nurse

Ames Community School District is seeking substitute registered nurses for the 2026-27 school year. Enjoy a flexible schedule - work when and where you want: preschool, elementary, or secondary grades. These are on part-time, on-call substitute positions.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Provides primary and emergency care to minimize the effects of accidents and illness in the schools.
• Communicates with administration and other staff regarding student health care needs.
• Creates a sense of belonging and welcoming environment for all students.
• Maintains student health records.
• Abides by strict confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid RN license.
• Must be adaptable, collaborative, and an effective problem-solver.

Compensation: $155 / full day
