Sheet Metal Team Member

Location: Holland, MI
Shift: 1st Shift | 5:00 AM–3:30 PM | Monday–Friday | Occasional Saturdays
Pay: $18.00–$20.00/hour

Job Summary

Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy working with your hands in a manufacturing environment? We're seeking a Sheet Metal Team Member to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll help produce high-quality fabricated metal components by operating sheet metal equipment, following blueprints and specifications, and inspecting finished products for quality.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with fabrication equipment in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Sheet Metal Team Member, your core responsibilities will include:

• Operate Sheet Metal Equipment: Safely operate press brakes, shears, punches, and other fabrication equipment to produce quality metal components.
• Read & Interpret Blueprints: Follow drawings, specifications, and work instructions to ensure products are manufactured accurately.
• Inspect Finished Products: Check completed parts to ensure they meet established quality standards before shipment.
• Material Handling: Safely lift, carry, and move materials and fabricated components throughout the production process.
• Packaging: Assist with packaging finished products and preparing them for shipment.
• Production Support: Work with team members to maintain an efficient production flow and support department goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the department.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area while following established safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, machine operation, or sheet metal experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move 50–75 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays.
• Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and product quality.

Skills

• Sheet Metal Fabrication: Ability to operate or learn press brakes, shears, punches, and other fabrication equipment.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable using hand tools, machines, and fabrication equipment.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and producing components that meet quality standards.
• Material Handling: Ability to safely handle and maneuver materials weighing 50–75 pounds.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with the Sheet Metal Team Lead and other production team members.
• Safety Awareness: Commitment to following established equipment and workplace safety procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move 50–75 pounds.
• Ability to stand and remain physically active throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements as needed.
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing and sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays.
