Description of Work

This role supports food preparation, food service and sanitation throughout Ebensburg Center. The work helps maintain safe, accurate and timely meal operations for individuals in care. As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Food Preparation: Prepare food items by following instructions and standardized recipes
• Tray Assembly: Assemble meal trays accurately using tray tags and menus
• Equipment Use: Operate food service equipment safely and according to procedures
• Sanitation Work: Clean and sanitize dishware, equipment and work areas following schedules
• Supply Transport: Move, load and unload carts and food supplies

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch, with rotating days off.
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

• Food production or food service experience in an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing home.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
