The purpose of this position is to perform skilled preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment pertaining to the Water Treatment Plants. Responsible for the safe performance of journeyman skills associated with the operation, mechanical and basic electrical maintenance of various pieces of equipment such as, pumps, signal controllers, motors and various other types of machinery and equipment, such as flow meters, chemical feed pumps and some construction work. The employee works under general direction and has the responsibility to coordinate the work for one or two employees as needed. This job works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
