About This Role

Step One Academy is seeking energetic, responsible, and caring Summer Camp Counselors to join our team for Summer 2026. Counselors will help lead exciting activities, supervise children ages 5–13, support field trips, and create a safe and fun environment for all campers.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children, staying active, and being part of a positive team atmosphere.

• Supervise and engage school-age children ages 5–13
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers
• Assist with games, activities, crafts, and outdoor play
• Help maintain classroom and activity organization
• Support children during trips and special events
• Encourage teamwork, inclusion, and positive behavior
• Help mediate minor disputes and redirect behavior appropriately
• Communicate professionally with staff and families
• Follow all Step One Academy safety policies and procedures

• Must be reliable, responsible, and punctual
• Must enjoy working with children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to actively supervise children in indoor and outdoor settings
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude
• Experience working with children is preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Previous camp, child care, or school-age experience
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Creative, energetic, and team-oriented personality
