Executive Director, Professional Practice Reports To: Senior Vice President, Client Services and Professional Practice FLSA: Exempt -Full time City/State: Remote Description: Position Overview The Executive Director, Professional Practice provides clinical expertise and leadership to design, develop, and deliver educational content and programs for multiple organizations.Partnering with internal teams, conference committees, and external stakeholders, this role creates high-quality learning experiences across conferences, webinars, publications, and digital platforms that align with national industry standards and evidence-based best practices. Facilitate subject matter experts for the development of learning content material, conference session abstracts and objectives, webinars/ publication topics and annual research surveys/ data analysis.This position drives successful content identification, execution, measurable learner impact, and alignment with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities Conference & Educational Program Development · Lead clinical oversight of high-quality educational programming for all client Chapter, National, International and Leadership Conferences · Using attendee survey, planning committee and board member input, research data and creative content identification, this role will guide and support the selection of conference sessions. · Identify, recommend, contract and coordinate keynote, general session, and closing session speakers for National, International and Leadership conferences · Oversee clinical content, accuracy and relevance of webinar and virtual education content · Develop and refine conference themes, learning objectives, and program structure Research · Develop and refine conference themes, learning objectives, and program structure · Oversee the design, administration, and annual review of research surveys, ensuring content and questions remain relevant and aligned with organizational priorities. · Analyze research findings and industry trends to identify emerging issues, inform strategic direction, and guide publications, educational programming, and future research initiatives. · Lead the development and execution of research projects that advance professional practice, including white papers, webinars, benchmarking studies, and correlation research. · Identify, evaluate, and pursue opportunities for new research initiatives aligned with the organization's strategic plan. · Seek external funding opportunities and lead grant-supported research and client initiatives as appropriate. · Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and partners to develop research agendas and disseminate findings that drive industry knowledge and best practices. Content Strategy, Products, Publications · Provide clinical development, review and editorial guidance as needed for products, publications and digital content. · Facilitate advisory/editorial boards and SME groups to ensure all products remain current, accurate and timely revised as needed. · Recommend product and publication content development priorities to ensure content is relevant and meets customer current and future needs. Marketing Review · Review marketing, website and promotional materials as requested to ensure clinical accuracy, relevance, and audience alignment · Influence internal and external communications to ensure consistent and current practice messaging Committee & Stakeholder Collaboration · Serve as clinical resource identifying practice trends and emerging healthcare topics · Support clients, chapter, national, international planning committees, advisory boards, focus groups, and ad hoc workgroups by facilitating their input and ensuring content selections are current, consistent with standards of practice and brand the event/products well. · Provide clinical consultation across departments and client-facing educational initiatives Data, Evaluation & Compliance · Analyze conference and program evaluation data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities · Compile and interpret learner feedback, speaker performance metrics, and content effectiveness data · Ensure continuing education (CE) submissions meet accreditation standards in collaboration with CE staff · Review and approve CFP (Call for Proposals) submissions, including scoring and selection input · Support CE accreditation applications and compliance documentation Strategic & Organizational Support · Act as clinical SME across departments for program development and strategic initiatives · Support full conference lifecycle activities including program proofing (bios, abstracts, learning objectives) · Ensure alignment of education initiatives with organizational priorities and strategic goals Education & Experience · Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Social Worker required; master’s degree preferred · Minimum of 10 years of case management experience required · Clinical Teaching/Educator experience preferred · Conference Content planning preferred · Facilitation of stakeholders/subject matter experts Skills & Competencies · Communication & Critical Thinking · Presentation and Facilitation · Adaptable, self-directed and comfortable working in fast paced environments · Analysis of professional literature, standards, and industry guidance · Speaking/Presenting · Problem-solving in complex, semi-structured environments · Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook · Comfortable working with data tracking, reporting, and CRM platforms Travel Requirements · Approximately 10–15% annual travel required · Occasional weekend travel for conferences and events * * * EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY CGi is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
