Secret Cleared Full Stack Software Engineer

Salary: $135,000 - 170,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• We need strong Java development experience, including the ability to work with existing codebases and modernize or refactor them safely.
• We value JavaScript experience with modern web UI development; TypeScript experience is preferred.
• We require full-stack development experience across user interfaces, API and service layers, integration or messaging components, and database persistence.
• We need experience with REST APIs, XML, JSON, message transformation, schema-driven data exchange, and custom message formats.
• We require SQL and relational database experience with platforms such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
• We need experience developing and troubleshooting software in Linux and Windows environments.
• We require experience with Git, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and disciplined commit practices.
• We need experience with unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and defect resolution.
• We require experience using Jira, Confluence, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar tools for issue tracking, documentation, source control, code review, and team coordination.
• We require a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or 7 years of relevant experience in place of the degree.
• We require an active DoD Secret clearance and eligibility and willingness to be submitted for a TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Preferred: experience with enterprise or secure messaging, message brokers, ESB or integration frameworks, Apache Camel, Mule, JMS, AMQP, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ/Artemis, or similar technologies.
• Preferred: experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, federal, or classified software environments.
• Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated analyzers, SBOM generation, security scanning, build gates, and release automation.
• Preferred: Docker or other containerized development and testing experience.
• Preferred: Kubernetes experience.
• Preferred: experience using AI-assisted engineering tools for code analysis, test generation, documentation, troubleshooting, refactoring support, or workflow automation.
• Preferred: experience documenting design decisions, support runbooks, troubleshooting procedures, and engineering practices.
• Preferred: familiarity with ISO/QMS, configuration control, change control, or regulated development practices.

• We develop, modernize, test, and sustain secure mission software products.
• We work across Java and JavaScript-based applications, including user interfaces, backend services, APIs, messaging and integration services, relational databases, automated testing, and deployment support.
• We collaborate in a role that is approximately 85% remote while supporting periodic in-person work in the Baltimore/Washington, DC metro area.
• We contribute to the maintenance and improvement of secure software in a defense-focused environment.
