School Nurse (Float) ~ District-wide

School Nurse Position

This is a full-time School Nurse position for Caesar Rodney School District. This is a regular, district-wide floating position. Individuals who will be eligible or possess School Nurse certification are encouraged to apply. All candidates must apply online.

Qualifications: Applicant must meet State of Delaware certification requirements for School Nurse. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or School Nursing from a Regionally-Accredited college or university required. Must have completed three (3) years of Supervised Clinical Nursing Experience as a registered nurse consisting of a minimum of 500 hours per year, for a total of 1,500 hours during the three-year period. Experience working with pediatric/child population is preferred. This requirement shall not be met in a school setting. Registered professional nurse license, designated as R.N. as defined and determined by state law, and currently licensed in the state of Delaware or an active, unencumbered multi-state compact registered nurse license. Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use. Please include all supporting documents with your application.

Salary: In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included.

Pre-Employment Requirements: Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation. All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test. Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
