Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires expertise in orthopedic care, particularly in a Level I trauma setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for providing excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the orthopedic unit. Collaborate effectively with medical staff, including doctors, nurses, and LPNs. Participate in team nursing, with a patient ratio of 1:12 split between multiple RNs and LPNs. Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in patient condition. Educate patients and families about orthopedic conditions and recovery processes. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of recent orthopedic nursing experience required. Experience working in a Level I trauma center is a must. Previous travel nursing experience preferred. Experience in a large hospital setting is required. Nursing license must be compliant with NLC guidelines. Work Schedule This is a full-time position requiring 48 hours of work each week. The schedule is primarily day shifts, with possible weekends on a rotational basis. On-call duties may be required as needed.
