Engineer

Operate and maintain manufacturing, utility, and automation systems in compliance with US and global regulations Search for and implement continuous improvements Manage capital projects, including design, construction, and start-up Design and develop drug delivery systems Design and develop drug manufacturing processes, including scale-up and commercialization Design and develop waste reduction and energy minimization processes Design and develop safety systems and environmental controls Analyze and optimize transportation, distribution, and warehouse operations Contribute to complex pharmaceutical-industry opportunities in manufacturing and development organizations Support areas including global packaging and robotics, parenteral products, facilities/utilities, bulk processing, process development, engineering technical center, and global delivery devices Perform facility maintenance, reliability, utility support, and capital-improvement project administration Lead capital projects from concept through implementation, including scope, planning, qualification/validation, budget, timeline, and objectives Monitor and assess manufacturing process performance and capacity; analyze issues and improve processes and control systems Define and develop processes for potential biochemical and synthetic compounds; investigate process safety, scale-up hazards, pilot plant support, compound quality, and environmental impact Design, implement, and maintain automation systems, instrumentation, process control applications, and information management Requirements Currently attending a BS/MS Engineering program with completion of the degree by August 2027 Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1 work authorization or visas Demonstrated analysis/problem assessment skills Oral and written communication skills Information/data monitoring skills Quality orientation Teamwork/interpersonal skills Previous internships in the pharmaceutical industry preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in designing and developing drug delivery systems and manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with US and global regulations.
