Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) – Full-Time & Part-Time

REMagine Sleep Centers – Dearborn, MI

REMagine Sleep Centers is seeking a qualified and dependable Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) to join our growing sleep center team in Dearborn, Michigan. We are currently hiring for both Full-Time and Part-Time positions .

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and technical skills, excellent patient-care abilities, and experience performing diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform overnight Polysomnography (PSG) studies according to established protocols and AASM standards.
• Perform CPAP/BiPAP titration and split-night studies as ordered.
• Prepare patients for sleep studies and explain procedures.
• Obtain and document patient history and sleep-related information.
• Apply and remove electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment accurately.
• Monitor patients throughout the study and identify significant sleep and physiological events.
• Perform accurate data acquisition and sleep-study scoring.
• Troubleshoot PSG and other sleep-study equipment.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Clean and maintain equipment and sleep rooms according to infection-control procedures.
• Follow REMagine Sleep Centers policies and applicable AASM standards.
• Communicate significant patient findings or technical issues to the appropriate clinical staff.
• Assist with Home Sleep Testing (HST) setup, patient instruction, and device processing when needed.

Required Credentials & Qualifications

• Current RPSGT (Registered Sleep Technologist) credential through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), or an equivalent recognized credential.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from a recognized provider.
• Completion of an appropriate Polysomnographic Technology/Sleep Technology education or training program , or an accepted qualifying pathway.
• Demonstrated competency in performing overnight PSG studies.
• Experience or competency in CPAP/BiPAP titration.
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills.
• Ability to accurately document patient information and sleep-study data.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Ability to meet all applicable facility onboarding and employment requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a sleep center, hospital sleep laboratory, or similar clinical setting.
• Experience with PSG, CPAP titration, BiPAP titration, and split-night studies .
• Experience with Home Sleep Testing (HST) .
• Familiarity with current AASM scoring rules.
• Experience with polysomnography equipment and sleep diagnostic software.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical skills.
• Additional sleep-related education or credentials.

Schedule

Full-Time and Part-Time positions available.

Schedules will primarily consist of evening and overnight sleep-study shifts , with availability requirements discussed during the interview process.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist with patient setup.
• Ability to apply and remove monitoring equipment.
• Ability to safely handle and maintain sleep-study equipment.
