Cardiac Rehab Nurse PRN III

TriStar Summit Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Cardiac Rehab Nurse PRN III. The position is a point‑in‑time role that supports cardiac rehabilitation patients during admission and scheduled shifts. Job Summary As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with the department’s standards and the relevant state and specialty requirements. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, advocate for patients and families, and strive to ensure a positive patient experience and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Assess patients during admission and at the start of each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by the medical provider, and document care administration in the medical record. Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action if an unintended response occurs. Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate needs, and resolve issues. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow‑up measures, ensuring clear understanding. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license. Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or BCLS Instructor certification, or CPR certification, obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor certification, obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
