Physical Therapist – Department of Rehab Medicine – Per Diem – Days Location: Brooklyn, New York Shift: Day Flex (per diem, regular Fridays and/or Saturdays – minimum 2 shifts per month, maximum 18 hours per week) Position: NewYork‑Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital Responsibilities Provide high‑quality acute inpatient physical therapy care. Use advanced technology and best‑practice techniques to restore and maximize patient mobility. Deliver one‑on‑one therapy sessions tailored to each patient’s individual needs. Participate in and support the early mobilization program in the ICU. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate functional independence and community reintegration for patients. Qualifications Master’s degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (required). Member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) (required). Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (required). New York State Physical Therapist License within one year of hire (required). Limited Permit as per New York State Practice Act for Physical Therapists. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (required). Must live within commutable distance to NYP; on‑site presence required. Compensation Salary: $73.50 per hour.
