Job Description:

 

We are seeking an experienced, dependable Janitorial Lead to oversee daily operations of a janitorial crew. This role involves leading a team in maintaining residential and/or commercial properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship, efficiency, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of landscaping practices and the ability to train and motivate crew members.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Proficient in daily janitorial duties in commercial facilities.
- Uses and maintains basic janitorial machinery (buffers, vacuums).
- Understands chemical handling, mixing, and proper use.
- Supports junior crew and handles routine work with little oversight.
- Recognizes minor maintenance or safety concerns and reports them.

- Mastery of floor care techniques and cleaning systems.
- Can independently perform deep cleans and handle large buildings.
- Assists in training, scheduling, and mentoring newer employees.
- Maintains consistency, professionalism, and high-quality standards.
- Proactively solves cleaning or scheduling issues and keeps sites running smoothly.

 

Qualifications:

 

• 2+ years of janitorial experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

• Ability to read and interpret job site plans and instructions.

• Good communication and leadership skills.

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
