Make a difference every day supporting students as a paraprofessional in a welcoming, inclusive school environment. Multiple opportunities are available in resource programming, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase programming, and Ready Set LAUNCH centerbase programming at a vibrant academy. This contract role runs from September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 32.5 hours per week.
Please specify your preferred program focus (resource, DCD, or LAUNCH) with your application. Candidates must be willing to assist with all aspects of student care, including toileting. To be considered, attach your resume and one document verifying you are highly qualified—either passing the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Exam or official transcripts verifying at least 60 college credits.
Role Highlights:
- Provide hands-on instructional and behavioral support to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with certified staff and other paraprofessionals in either the resource, DCD, or LAUNCH program classrooms
- Offer personalized assistance with daily living skills, socialization, and academic tasks
- Support positive student inclusion and engagement in the school community
- Demonstrate adaptability and strong communication across multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Verification as a highly qualified paraprofessional (either exam or transcripts, as described above)
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting—experience with resource or centerbased programming is a plus
- Commitment to promoting a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for all learners
- Demonstrated reliability and collaboration skills
This contract will transition to a direct hire role with the district after 422 hours of contracting, offering a pathway to a long-term career in education.
