This travel assignment places an ICU/CCU RN in a multi-age patient population within a hospital ICU. The unit operates with a 1:2 patient ratio depending on acuity and requires readiness to float to other units as competency allows. The assignment includes hospital orientation through HR and in-service, followed by unit orientation with the nurse manager.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to ICU/CCU patients across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Monitor critical indicators, manage airway/ventilator support as needed, and administer medications per physician orders
- Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team; document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
- Maintain patient safety and comfort; respond to changes in patient condition; follow protocols for escalation based on acuity
- Adhere to unit staffing guidelines (1:2 ratio as acuity allows) and call for additional assistance when needed, including arrangements for a second nurse if two patients require ventilator support
- Complete hospital and unit orientation, and maintain the competency binder; float to OB, MS, PACU, and ER to support care delivery as competency permits
- Support after-hours PACU recovery and contribute to continuity of care across shifts

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Hawaii
- ICU/CCU nursing experience preferred; capable of caring for a diverse patient population
- Ability to work nights and rotating shifts
- Willingness to float to OB, MS, PACU, and ER per competency
- Successful completion of facility orientation and unit-based competency binder
