Employment Type Part-time Requirements Dentrix Infection Control License Licensed dental hygienist X-ray / Radiography Certification Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Experience: Proven experience working in dental clinics or dental offices. Software: Proficiency in using Dentrix Ascend for documentation and scheduling. Knowledge: Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Skills: Ability to perform clinical tasks including scaling, polishing, taking vital signs, and capturing X-rays. Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients. Job Description Clinical Care: Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Patient Assessment: Conduct assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating current dental conditions. Imaging: Take and develop medical imaging, including radiographs, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures. Education: Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies. Preventive Treatments: Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants under the supervision of the dentist. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical and dental records using Dentrix Ascend software in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations. Infection Control: Strictly adhere to aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and all health regulations regarding infection control.
