Maintenance Associate role at Pactiv Evergreen Inc. Responsibilities Strong electrical background required (PLC, Allen Bradley preferred, VFD, 120‑to‑480 Low Voltage). Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on automation equipment. Maintain, set up, and perform preventive maintenance on automation/production equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment‑related processing issues. Use computer‑based inventory system to generate reports and locate spare parts. Execute daily maintenance connection duties. Assist maintenance/production staff as needed. Help train other employees when required. Perform quality work within reasonable time standards set by management. Use mandatory safety equipment and maintain a safe, efficient work environment. Remain flexible with schedule as required. Ensure area(s) of responsibility remain safe, clean, and tidy. Follow all company established rules and policies. Conduct other related duties and assignments as required. Compensation Starting Pay Range: $33.92 to $38.66 – Paid Weekly Shift differential: $1.00 Available Shift 2nd – 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm (Monday‑Friday) Qualifications Analytical and problem‑solving skills; mechanical, electrical and PLC programming expertise. Customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organization, professionalism, quality, safety, adaptability, punctuality, dependability, initiative, innovation. High School Diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred. Minimum 2 years technician experience within the plastics industry. Own tools and able to use them safely and effectively. Experience in rebuilding formers, trim presses, gearboxes, fluid pumps, and grinders. Material movement and facility utility piping. Repair all thermo‑forming and support equipment. Perform daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance on all thermo‑forming equipment. Light electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Work from the maintenance management system. Maintain 5S program. Light welding repairs. Support plant food safety management programs, initiatives, and objectives. Educational & Other Skill Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge; two years of maintenance experience preferred. Welding experience, ability to use measuring devices, forklift operator experience, pneumatics and vacuum knowledge. Highly organized, problem‑solver, strong written and verbal communication skills, able to handle multiple tasks and sense of urgency.
