Heavy Equipment Operator (Directional Drill)HCS Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment/Directional Drill Operator! The Directional Drill Operator will be responsible for safely operating the directional drill to place and install underground telecom facilities. We're looking for reliable and hard-working individuals that take pride in their work.Responsibilities:Operate HDD safely and efficiently.Ensure team properly potholes for other utilities to ensure there no conflicts with the drill pathFill water tanks with water.Know and understand the location of the drill head at all times to avoid striking or damaging other underground utilitiesHook up swivel, reamer, and pipe product that will be pulled back to complete the bore shot.Before the bore shot is started, walk out bore shot to ensure all utilities have been located and develop a plan for going above or below each utility or obstacle in the bore path.Pull back the product with the correct hole opener and utilize the correct mud mixture to ensure that the product makes it from point B to point A.Inspect and maintain job equipment.Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.Requirements:Valid driver's licensePre-Employment ScreeningRelevant Experience 2+ yearsMUST have or be able to obtain CDL Class A license
