Registered Nurse RN Emergency Department Nights

Overview Employment Type: Full time Shift: 12 Hour Night Shift (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.) Location: Sacred Heart Hospital, Lavonia, Georgia Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Night Shift) at Sacred Heart Hospital. This RN works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence‑based medicine and individualized patient care. The role requires facilitating all aspects of the patient visit experience on a 14‑bed emergency department unit that serves patients from infants to geriatrics with a specialty focus on cardiology and stroke care. Responsibilities Assess patients, develop, evaluate, and modify care plans under limited supervision. Interpret and perform complex patient‑care procedures specific to nursing expertise. Collaborate as a member of the Care Team and Support Team to achieve patient outcomes defined in the pathway/plan of care. Provide care to assigned patients through therapeutic use of self, nursing process, environment/technology, and teamwork according to established standards. Assume responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients during a designated time frame. Qualifications Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia. Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or deemed substantially equivalent by the Board. Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years. Prior experience preferred; new graduates considered.
