Job Summary 
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to join our facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and upkeep of our building systems and equipment. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment that supports our organizational goals. Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Use blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine construction requirements and materials needed
• Install fixtures and materials such as windows, flooring, trim, and hardware
• Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals
• Conduct carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and maintenance painting tasks to uphold facility aesthetics and safety standards.
• Maintain facilities equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants, delivering excellent customer service while resolving issues efficiently.
• Support the upkeep of building interior spaces through carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, electrical work, and general facilities maintenance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Carpenter is preferred
• Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
• Ability to read and take action on blueprints
• Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools
• Knowledge of building regulations and codes
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
