About the Position

Job Opportunity – Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts with 8, 10, or 12-hour options. Shift times range from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM or 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM with flexibility. Monday through Friday OR Sunday through Thursday schedule available with no on-call requirements.

• Comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center serving diverse patient populations from neonates through adolescents
• Magnet-designated facility with Level One Pediatric Trauma Center designation
• Epic electronic medical records system utilized throughout the facility
• Varied case mix including general surgery, orthopedic/spine, neurosurgery, ENT, GYN, urology, plastics, and specialized pediatric procedures
• 24-hour orientation program provided to ensure successful onboarding
• Daily census of approximately 25 patients with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license (pending Wisconsin license accepted with submission)
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Must successfully pass telemetry examination prior to start date with strict passing criteria
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
