IT Project / Program Manager

Plan, lead, and manage complex IT projects and programs from initiation through delivery. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, and success criteria. Coordinate activities across multiple departments, technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk logs, and status reports. Ensure timely delivery of milestones while managing dependencies, risks, and resource constraints. Monitor project progress and proactively address issues, risks, and change requests. Facilitate governance activities including steering committees, status reviews, and executive updates. Ensure adherence to organizational standards, methodologies, and compliance requirements. Manage budget tracking, resource allocation, and vendor performance (as applicable). Support transition to operations, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and post‑implementation reviews. Promote continuous improvement in project delivery processes and practices. Required Skills Proven experience managing complex IT projects or programs in medium to large enterprise environments. Strong ability to coordinate across departments, technical teams, and business stakeholders. Demonstrated success in ensuring on‑time delivery of project milestones and deliverables. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid). Experience with project planning, scheduling, risk management, and change control. Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, or similar). Strong understanding of IT systems, application development, infrastructure, and integration concepts. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing multi‑year or enterprise‑wide programs. Prior experience in government, public‑sector, or regulated environments.
