About the Role:

As a Bartender at The Halyard, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining and social experience to our guests by expertly preparing and serving a wide variety of beverages. Your primary focus will be to craft high-quality cocktails, pour beers, and serve wines while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. You will engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their needs are met promptly and that they feel welcomed and valued. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing inventory, adhering to health and safety regulations, and collaborating with the restaurant team to create a seamless service environment. Ultimately, your contribution will enhance the overall atmosphere and reputation of The Halyard, encouraging repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Legal age to serve alcohol in the United States.
• Previous experience working as a bartender or in a guest service role within a hospitality environment.
• Basic knowledge of drink recipes and beverage preparation techniques.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol).
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
• Knowledge of craft cocktails and mixology trends.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and guest preferences.
• Greet and interact with guests to provide excellent service and build rapport.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
• Monitor and manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed and reporting shortages.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations related to alcohol service.
• Handle cash and process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Collaborate with kitchen and wait staff to coordinate timely service and accommodate special requests.
• Identify and resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
