Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses to provide surgical patient care across a variety of specialties. The role involves assessing patients, maintaining sterile environments, and collaborating with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' physical and emotional needs before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Create and uphold a sterile surgical environment adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide preoperative education and postoperative monitoring for surgical patients.
• Support vascular and orthopedic surgeries, with potential scrub assistance.
• Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure documentation meets compliance and licensing standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Registered Nurse license and current certifications (BLS, ACLS).
• Minimum of 2 years' current operating room experience in vascular, orthopedic, trauma, or general surgery.
• Demonstrated experience with EPIC EMR system.
• Proven ability to circulate and scrub in surgical settings; sterile skills required.
• Travel experience preferred; candidate must possess own vehicle.
• Must have proper certifications uploaded with profile.
