Job SummaryR+L Carriers Information Technology Department is growing and has an immediate opening for a Senior Oracle Developer. Successful candidates will work within the Information Technology Department performing development and optimization activities in the SQL/PLSQL programming language in Oracle 19c or higher. The candidates will be key members of an interdisciplinary team supporting the company’s enterprise software development initiatives, working with different stakeholders to understand real world business requirements and to develop or optimize enterprise level solutions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL statements in Oracle 19c Performance Tuning including optimizing SQL code and PL/SQL packagesMaintaining shared tooling including PL/SQL packages that facilitate partitioning and purgingIndex based optimization, including statistics gathering and optimizing execution plansWork with Oracle Enterprise Manager (Cloud Control) to monitor and optimize SQL statementsImprove application architecture to prevent deadlocks in highly concurrent applicationsMonitor and reduce SQL plan degradationImplement SQL profiles and SQL plan baselines to help with critical production issuesProvide mentoring and support to Oracle developersQualificationsExtensive Experience (5+ years) in SQL and PL/SQL Programming in Oracle 19c Proven Experience with Oracle Performance Tuning Extensive experience supporting critical systems and providing technical solutionsExperience working with high volume transactional databasesExperience working with development tools like TOADExperience working with OEM tools like Cloud controlStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, a 401(k)-retirement plan and free vacation lodging at our employee resorts in Daytona Beach, FL, Big Bear Lake, CA, Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Pigeon Forge, TN.Full timePosting Date: 2026-09-24
