Overview Texas Oncology is looking for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Downtown, San Antonio, TX location. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 am‑5:00 pm) with no weekends, call, or major holidays. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material. Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician. Administer all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time, and technique. Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable. Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems, and symptom management. Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices. Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided. Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred. Minimum 0‑3 years of RN experience. Willingness to consider entry, mid, or senior level candidates. Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Physical Requirements Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.
