Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Dayshift

We are hiring for: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Dayshift. This position is full-time, office-based with required home visits, located in Hendersonville, NC. Compensation is $32 per hour with a $3,000 sign-on bonus (no relocation package). Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 am–5:30 pm with a weekend/on-call rotation. Job Responsibilities Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Observe, assist with gathering health-related data, and report health needs to the registered nurse. Coordinate preventative and routine medical care for people supported. Document nursing care provided. Assist physicians with on-site medical clinics where applicable. Provide health-related training to unlicensed personnel according to state regulations. Conduct medication pass observations in the home to ensure staff competency according to state regulations. Conduct medication closest assessments. Perform quality assurance checks and observations to ensure unlicensed personnel are performing health-related tasks as assigned according to state regulations. Observe for and report any abnormal health-related findings to the physician. Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the interdisciplinary team. Advocate for the people supported and assist in developing community supports to promote optimal health. Job Requirements Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program. Current LPN license with no restrictions to practice nursing. Current CPR certification or eligibility to certify for CPR. Excellent communication skills with interdisciplinary team members, people supported, and families. Ability to work independently, be organized, and prioritize work tasks. Physical ability to lift 20–40 pounds, pull 25 pounds, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, stoop, and stand/walk regularly. Proficiency in CPR from the floor level.
