Fire Alarm Technician Department: Technician Employment Type: Full Time Location: Altoona, PA (Park Security Systems) Reporting To: Mark, Operations Manager Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 / hour Description Join our team and help keep your community safe! We're looking for experienced, dependable candidates to fill the role of Fire Alarm Technician- helping protect the homes and businesses in your community. You Are: A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work. You Have: Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, High EQ. Your Location: In-Person (Not Remote or Hybrid) 500 8th Ave, Altoona, PA 16602 Your Schedule: Full Time (40hrs/Wk) Monday to Friday (8:00am-4:30pm) Availability for after hours on call rotation, as assigned Your Manager: Mark, Operations Manager Your Contribution to Park Security Systems: Install and wire fire alarm systems - panels, detectors, pull stations, and notification devices Test and inspect systems for code compliance (Fire Alarm Systems, Codes, & Standards) Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical documents Advanced troubleshooting and repair of devices and system malfunctions Coordinate with local fire department to avoid unnecessary response during testing Recommend upgrades/repairs when necessary Respond to and resolve support/service tickets; phone and email support as needed Train clients on system use Your Ideal Background/Experience: Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems, Codes, & Standards Certification as a Fire Alarm Inspector (NICET or equivalent preferred) Park Security Systems' Contribution to You: $30-$35/hr based on experience 401k matching Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Employee discount Flexible spending account On-the-job training Paid time off #J-18808-Ljbffr
