Position: Registered Nurse (Nights)

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team. The ideal candidates must possess a current NIHSS certification, a Wisconsin nursing license, and CPR/BLS certification. Education verification is required for this position.

Shift Details

Shift: Nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required
Floating: Travel RNs may be required to float to other units

Unit Description

This position primarily involves working in an Adult Surgical Unit with a limited number of Pediatric patient beds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in providing patient care.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
Document patient care according to established standards of care.
Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including providing instruction to patients and families.
Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support the patient's longitudinal care plan.
Utilize critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, appropriately escalating concerns through the chain of command as necessary.
