General Maintenance Technician

Perform general building maintenance and repair work for commercial campus and residential housing.

Ability to follow and complete instructions

Ability to apply common sense when working on solutions

Trouble-shoot and correct building or system failures

Repair appliances and light equipment as needed

Coordinate with outside service contractors as needed

Mechanical skills in variety of areas; willingness to learn other disciplines

Expertise in one area is helpful, but not required

Courteous communication skills with the clients, public and fellow workers

Strong verbal communication skills

Clean, well-groomed appearance

Drive motorized vehicle

Work around machines

Work above floor level

Exposure to dust, fumes, gases
