Registered Nurse Progressive care unit

Unit Information Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Unit #26-15492. Location: Mission Hospital, 509 Biltmore Avenue Asheville, NC 28801. Floor: K7, Building: K Tower. Shift: Night Shift, 12 hours/day, 3 days/week. Contract: Onsite contract starting 7/20/2026 for 13 weeks. Number of Beds: 44. Number of Staff: 95 (Day Shift: 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNA, 1 HUC; Night Shift: 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNA, 1 HUC). Patient Ratios: 4/1 at grid, 5/1 stretched. Equipment: IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, Chest tube, Trachs, Patient lifts. EMR System: Cerner. Typical Hiring Profile Must Have ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. Neuro and Trauma Care experience. Preferred / Nice to Have Neuro and Trauma Care experience. Typical Procedures Neuro and spinal checks. C-Collar placement, TLSO braces. Chest tube, PCA pump, IV infusions. Lumber drain. Feeding tube placement. Blood transfusion. Personality Fit Team player, patient focused. Required Certifications ACLS, BLS, NIHSS. Floating Areas Stepdown units, Med-surg units. Dress Code Scrub Color/Attire - Navy blue. Schedule Weekends: Every other weekend. On call: If any (not specified).
