(Drive Up & Go) Manager supports the Home Shopping Manager in overseeing daily online grocery pickup and delivery operations. This role assists in driving sales growth, ensuring order accuracy, maintaining service standards, and leading associates to provide an exceptional customer experience. The Assistant D.U.G. Manager helps ensure operational efficiency while supporting department goals and company standards.Department Operations Assist in managing daily Drive Up & Go operations, including order fulfillment, staging, and customer pickups. Support the planning and execution of department workflows to meet productivity and service goals. Monitor order volume and staffing needs throughout the day. Ensure all customer orders are selected accurately and completed within established timelines. Maintain department organization, cleanliness, and operational readiness.Customer Service Deliver outstanding customer service through timely, accurate, and friendly interactions. Resolve customer questions, concerns, and order issues in a professional manner. Promote customer satisfaction and retention through service excellence. Assist customers with substitutions, special requests, and order modifications when necessary.Team Leadership Support hiring, training, coaching, and development of D.U.G. associates. Assist with scheduling and labor planning to meet business demands. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment. Provide leadership and decision-making support in the absence of the Department Manager. Hold associates accountable to productivity and service standards.Order Fulfillment & Quality Control Ensure orders are shopped accurately and handled according to company standards. Verify product freshness, quality, and proper substitutions when applicable. Monitor staging processes to ensure orders are stored appropriately prior to pickup or delivery. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce order errors.Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations. Promote safe lifting, handling, and transportation of customer orders. Maintain accurate department records and required documentation. Adhere to company policies, operational procedures, and service standards.Financial Performance Support department efforts to achieve sales, productivity, labor, and profitability goals. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in implementing action plans for improvement. Help control operational expenses while maximizing efficiency.
