Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM–9:00 PM
Status: Part-Time
Department: Outpatient Services

Position Summary

The Front Desk / BHT – Outpatient Support position provides evening operational and clinical support to the Outpatient Department. This employee serves as the primary support person for the Outpatient Therapists during scheduled hours, helping ensure that clients arrive on time, attend their assigned therapy sessions, follow program expectations, and receive appropriate assistance throughout the evening.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary front desk and BHT support for the Outpatient Therapists during the evening shift.
• Welcome clients and monitor client arrival and departure.
• Verify attendance and ensure clients report to their scheduled individual and group therapy sessions on time.
• Maintain accurate sign-in, attendance, and related program records.
• Monitor client movement and activity to help ensure compliance with program rules and scheduled services.
• Assist therapists with organizing clients and maintaining an orderly flow of scheduled outpatient services.
• Immediately report attendance discrepancies, suspected falsification, inappropriate activity, or other compliance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Conduct same-gender observed urine drug screens for female clients in accordance with agency policy, applicable requirements, and established procedures.
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA and agency confidentiality requirements.
• Assist with basic administrative duties, documentation, filing, telephone coverage, and other front desk responsibilities as needed.
• Communicate professionally with clients, therapists, supervisors, and other staff.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients at all times.
• Assist with other BHT and Outpatient Department duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Behavioral health, substance-use treatment, healthcare, customer service, or front desk experience preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings and background checks.
• Must complete all required agency and regulatory training within established deadlines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Dependable and punctual, with consistent availability from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM .
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information professionally.
• Ability to work independently while supporting therapists and the Outpatient team.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, good judgment, and attention to detail.
