Industrial Painter

PainterThe Painter is responsible for applying primer, paint, and specialty coatings to parts and finished products while ensuring a high-quality finish that meets Harper Industries standards. This role is responsible for maintaining coating consistency, operating paint equipment safely and efficiently, and supporting departmental quality and production goals.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Apply primer, paint, and specialty coatings to parts and finished productsEnsure proper coating thickness and finish quality standards are consistently achievedApply GatorHyde and other protective coatings as requiredInspect painted products for finish quality, consistency, and appearanceOperate paint booth equipment safely and efficientlyClean, maintain, and properly store paint guns, spray equipment, and related toolsAssist with routine paint booth maintenance, filter changes, and housekeeping activitiesMaintain paint kitchen responsibilities, including material handling and organizationFollow all company safety procedures, policies, and quality standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaCommunicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and Quality Control personnelAssist with movement and handling of materials and components as neededPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructionsStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize work and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPrevious industrial painting, powder coating, or manufacturing finishing experience preferredAbility to obtain and maintain forklift certificationBasic understanding of paint application equipment and finishing processes preferredEmbodies organizational core values (authentic, driven, humble, trustworthy)Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the workdayFrequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reachingAbility to perform repetitive hand and arm motions throughout the shiftAbility to lift and move 50 pounds regularlyAbility to safely operate paint application equipment and related toolsAbility to wear required personal protective equipment throughout the workdayWork Environment:Manufacturing environment with exposure to paint fumes, coatings, solvents, and industrial noiseFrequent work within paint booth and paint preparation areasRegular interaction with Paint Department personnel and Quality Control team membersRequired PPE includes company-provided safety glasses and employee-provided steel-toed footwear; additional PPE as neededPre-Employment Requirements:Employment with Harper Industries is contingent upon successfully passing:Pre-employment background checkPre-employment drug screeningHarper Industries, Inc.
