Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for an acute care Echo Tech unit requiring ARDMS/RCS certification and ND state license.

Details

• Acute care setting in a fast-paced, high-volume Echocardiography department
• Adult inpatient and outpatient echo studies, with pediatric experience a plus but not required
• Procedures include adult echo with Definity and Agitated Saline, TEE, Exercise Stress, and Dobutamine Stress Echo (based on experience and time)
• Department has 6 echo machines across 3 rooms, with most hospital patients scanned bedside
• Equipment includes Philip echo machines (EPIC 7, IE33, CX50) and EPIC-CUPID-TOM TECH reporting/PACS
• EPIC EMR used
• Day shift schedule with variable start/end times, including weekend day shifts
• 5x8s or 10-hour Saturday shifts, with rotating weekends and holidays
• Call required on weeknights and weekends, including when department is not staffed
• No floating to other units required
• Average of 5-8 cases per day, with 7 cases average
• Staff may work independently at times

Requirements

• ARDMS or RCS/ARDCS certification required
• BLS certification required
• ND state license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, 4-5 years preferred
• Acute care hospital experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Ability to work adult echo cases independently
• Pediatric echo experience a plus but not required

Additional Information

• Perform adult echo studies using Definity and Agitated Saline contrast agents
• May perform TEE, Exercise Stress, and Dobutamine Stress Echo based on experience and availability
• Facility will help support new staff in getting up to speed, requiring flexibility from travelers
• Staff must badge in and out at the facility
• Gray scrubs required
• Does not accept local candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility
• Clinicians with previous Sanford Health employment must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
