Occupational Therapist (OT) - Early Intervention

Early Intervention Occupational TherapistMedstaff Group is recruiting Early Intervention providers on behalf of an EI agency serving young children (birth to age five) and their families across Brooklyn. We're looking for a NYS-licensed Occupational Therapist to provide Early Intervention services in Boro Park, Kensington, Flatbush, and Park Slope.Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 occupational therapy evaluations and treatment sessions to children under 5Deliver services in the home, daycare, or another natural environment as assignedDocument sessions and coordinate with the child's care team as requiredMaintain a flexible caseload across the neighborhoods listed aboveArea notes:Boro Park: coverage especially needed in the 40s-50s and all avenues; Yiddish-speaking is a plus but not requiredKensington: no current OT coverage in this areaFlatbush: additional OT providers needed; after-hours availability and home visits preferredPark Slope: occasional cases arise; no current OT coverage availableQualifications:NYS licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)Experience providing services to children under 5 required (Early Intervention); general pediatric experience alone is not sufficientComfortable with home-based and daycare-based visitsAll candidates — whether DOH-approved or not — must have specific experience working with children under five. General pediatric experience alone is not sufficient. Candidates with a year or more of experience specifically with young children are preferred; a therapist who is experienced but not yet with this age group may be considered for mentorship.
