Job Description

As a Security Guard Retail Store in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist with loss-prevention activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with team members and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to store guests, team members, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate pertinent information to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, including sales floors, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and policy violations.
• Assist with maintaining a professional, welcoming presence while supporting store operations and following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
