Executive Housekeeper at Homewood Suites

The Executive Housekeeper leads the housekeeping team in delivering a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for guests throughout the hotel. This role oversees daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and payroll administration, while driving service standards, team performance, and operational excellence.What You’ll DoLeadership and OperationsLead daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.Maintain housekeeping procedures and standards that support a clean, organized, and guest-ready hotel environment.Inspect rooms and hotel spaces regularly to help maintain quality and presentation standards.Monitor staffing and labor productivity based on occupancy and business needs.Team Leadership and DevelopmentSupervise, train, and support the housekeeping team in delivering strong service and quality results.Provide coaching and feedback to help team members grow and succeed.Foster a positive, professional, and service-focused work environment.Inventory, Budget, and PerformanceMonitor housekeeping inventory, supplies, and equipment to support smooth daily operations.Assist with or manage the department budget and track expenses.Use performance indicators to support department efficiency and continuous improvement.Guest Experience and CollaborationRespond to guest requests and concerns in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner.Partner with the front desk, maintenance, and other departments to support a seamless guest experience.Follow safety, sanitation, and operational procedures related to housekeeping services.What Else to ExpectThis role may require weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule based on business needs.You’ll be expected to follow hotel standards related to appearance, professionalism, and teamwork.Additional duties may be assigned based on operational needs.What We’re Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.5+ years of progressive hotel housekeeping experience, including supervisory or management responsibility, preferred.Must be at least 18 years of age.Proven ability to lead and support a housekeeping team in a hotel environment.Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.Working knowledge of housekeeping standards, safety practices, and hotel operations.Skills for SuccessAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality setting.Strong guest service mindset and professionalism.Knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, sanitization practices, and safe chemical handling.Ability to maintain organized work areas and monitor supplies effectively.Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.What Will Help You SucceedSuccess in this role requires sound judgment, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to communicate clearly, solve problems, and support a positive guest and team experience.Physical RequirementsThe physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling.Ability to lift and carry supplies weighing approximately 5 to 30 pounds for distances up to 20 feet.Occasional overhead, floor-level, and waist-to-chest lifting.Occasional pushing and pulling of equipment, including housekeeping carts that may weigh up to 150 pounds.Frequent use of hands for gripping, grasping, holding, and handling items.Frequent use of feet, including climbing and descending stairs during a shift as needed.Occasional crouching, balancing, kneeling, and use of a step stool.Normal range of neck motion.Work EnvironmentThis position is primarily performed indoors in guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel facilities. The work environment may include exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, bodily fluids, and other conditions commonly associated with hotel housekeeping operations.
