Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. Identify and solicit new business opportunities through various channels. Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis for commercial clients. Source appropriate insurance solutions from a range of reputable insurers. Negotiate terms, conditions, and premiums with insurers and clients. Present insurance proposals and explain policy details clearly. Manage client relationships, providing ongoing support and service. Handle client inquiries, claims support, and policy renewals. Stay updated on market developments, new products, and regulatory changes. Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets. Requirements Matriculation or equivalent; a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, or Marketing is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an insurance broker, specifically in commercial lines. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products (e.g., GCI, BI, Fleet, Public Liability). Proven sales ability and track record of meeting targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in broking software and MS Office. A valid RE 5 qualification and relevant NQF level 4 credits are mandatory. Self-motivated, client-oriented, and a team player. Ability to work independently and manage client portfolios effectively.
