Data Analyst, Transit Development

Support NYC DOT Transit Signal Priority (TSP) planning with quantitative analysis and corridor performance evaluation. Responsibilities Assist with data analysis to support the Transit Development (TD) unit's Transit Signal Priority (TSP) program Partner with internal and external agency staff to develop future priority corridors Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing TSP corridors Use data exploration and analysis to identify opportunities to improve TSP effectiveness Support other data-driven assignments related to Real Time Passenger Information , automated enforcement , bus shelters and bus stops , and related prioritization analyses Contribute to other transit priority work as assigned Requirements Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college plus two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or High school graduation (or equivalent) plus six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or Education and/or experience equivalent to option 1 or 2, with the condition that all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in option 1 Technologies CAD Synchro GIS Preferred Skills Ability to perform quantitative analysis , preferably with public transit data and/or design aptitude Strong written and verbal communication , including the ability to deliver presentations Demonstrated problem-solving capacity Experience with CAD, Synchro, and/or GIS is desirable Location and Schedule Manhattan, NY (hybrid) Work address: 55 Water Street, 6th Floor, NY, NY 10041 Hours/Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Remote work may be available up to 2 days per week under the City and DC37 Remote Work Pilot Program Additional Information Salary: USD 62,868 - 97,593 per year Minimum experience: 1 year New hires must reside in NYC for the first two years of employment Appointments are subject to OMB approval Public Service Loan Forgiveness May be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs as a prospective City of New York employee Residency Requirement New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County #J-18808-Ljbffr Department of Transportation
