Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8pm - 4am Office Location: 1400 W Greenleaf Ave. Chicago IL 60626 Job Summary The Clinical Team Leader (Overnight) provides clinical oversight, supervisory support, and operational leadership for the overnight crisis response team within the Mobile Response Stabilization Services program. This role ensures clinical quality, safety, and compliance during overnight hours when program management is not on site. The Clinical Team Leader maintains direct service responsibilities, serves as the senior clinical authority on shift, and is accountable for the clinical integrity of all encounters occurring during the overnight period. Primary Role During a Crisis Response The Clinical Team Leader (Overnight) functions as the senior clinical leader on shift, responsible for guiding clinical decision‑making, providing consultation on complex presentations, and ensuring that program standards are maintained in the absence of day‑time program management. This role requires full independent clinical licensure and the ability to exercise sound clinical judgment autonomously. Core Responsibilities Clinical Oversight and Consultation Serve as the senior clinical authority on the overnight shift, providing clinical consultation and oversight for all crisis encounters. Provide real‑time clinical consultation to Crisis Counselors on complex, high‑acuity, or uncertain presentations. Review clinical dispositions and level of care determinations for appropriateness and consistency. Conduct or initiate critical incident reviews and debriefs following significant encounters. Escalate clinical concerns, safety issues, and critical incidents to Program Management promptly. Ensure that peer and clinical services are integrated effectively throughout the overnight continuum. Supervisory Support and Staff Development Provide shift‑level supervisory support to all overnight staff in accordance with program expectations. Support onboarding and orientation activities for staff assigned to overnight shifts. Model best practice in crisis engagement, clinical documentation, and professional conduct. Identify staff performance or compliance concerns and elevate to Program Management. Contribute to workforce development and staff support activities as directed. Direct Service and Field Presence Maintain assigned direct service expectations and productivity standards established by the organization. Participate in mobile crisis responses to model best practice and provide on‑scene clinical oversight. Support team members during high‑acuity or complex encounters as needed during the overnight period. Operational Oversight and Compliance Ensure all overnight staff follow established intake, crisis response, documentation, communication, and dispatch workflows. Monitor compliance with all IDHS, HFS, CESSA, CARF, CCBHC, DBHR, organizational, and program‑specific requirements during the overnight shift. Ensure vehicle readiness, equipment availability, and operational preparedness for the overnight period. Communicate shift summaries, critical incidents, and operational issues to Program Management at shift transition. Participate in program audits, quality improvement activities, and performance monitoring as directed. Documentation and Compliance Complete all required clinical and supervisory documentation within established timelines. Maintain full independent clinical licensure and all required credentials. Adhere to all IDHS, HFS, CESSA, CARF, CCBHC, DBHR, organizational, and program‑specific requirements. Participate in leadership meetings, multidisciplinary staffing, and quality improvement activities. Accreditation, Certification, and Compliance Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare operates within a CARF‑accredited environment and maintains Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) standards. All employees are expected to support compliance with: CARF standards CCBHC standards DBHR requirements HFS requirements CESSA requirements Organizational policies and procedures Applicable state and federal regulations Documentation Standards All employees are responsible for: Completing documentation in accordance with agency, grant, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Completing required documentation by the end of the assigned shift whenever possible. Completing all documentation within 24 hours of service delivery unless otherwise approved by leadership. Maintaining accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation. Workflow Compliance All employees are expected to: Follow established intake procedures. Follow crisis response workflows. Follow documentation workflows. Follow communication protocols. Follow deployment and dispatch procedures. Follow organizational policies and operational procedures. Training and Professional Development All employees are expected to: Complete required orientation activities. Complete required agency training. Complete crisis‑specific training requirements. Complete grant‑required training activities. Maintain required certifications and credentials. Vehicle and Equipment Responsibilities As a field‑based position, this role is expected to: Maintain agency vehicles, equipment, and supplies in accordance with organizational standards. Report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptly. Ensure readiness for field response activities. Clinical staff are expected to work collaboratively with and support the integration of peer services throughout the crisis continuum. This includes recognizing the value of lived experience, supporting peer staff in their roles, and fostering a team environment in which peer and clinical perspectives are equally respected. Quality Improvement All employees contribute to continuous quality improvement through participation in program development, data collection, performance improvement initiatives, audits, documentation standards, and service excellence activities appropriate to their role. Strategic Contribution Indicators of Success Staff Development – Overnight staff receive adequate clinical support and guidance on shift. The Clinical Team Leader is accessible, responsive, and effective in supporting staff through complex or high‑acuity encounters. Compliance – Program standards, documentation timelines, and workflow requirements are maintained consistently during overnight hours. Compliance concerns and critical incidents are identified and escalated promptly. Quality – Clinical documentation produced during overnight shifts is accurate, complete, and within required timelines. Clinical dispositions reflect appropriate level of care determinations and remain consistent with program standards. Service Delivery – Crisis encounters during overnight hours are completed with clinical integrity and appropriate dispositions. The Clinical Team Leader’s presence ensures that the program maintains consistent quality of care across all shifts. Workforce Retention – Overnight staff report feeling clinically supported and professionally connected to the program. The Clinical Team Leader contributes to a stable, cohesive overnight team through accessible leadership and consistent presence. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related clinical field required. Full independent clinical licensure required (LCSW, LCPC, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist). Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) status required. Minimum of two years of experience in crisis intervention, community mental health, or emergency behavioral health services required. Previous supervisory or clinical leadership experience preferred. CRSS certification not required; expected to work collaboratively with and support the integration of peer services. Knowledge of trauma‑informed care, harm reduction, recovery‑oriented service approaches, and IDHS/CCBHC program requirements. Ability to work overnight shifts consistent with program operational needs. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required. Ability to work effectively in community settings and provide on‑scene clinical oversight during the overnight period.
