Welder PositionOur partner is seeking multiple skilled and experienced welders to join their team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MIG welding and blueprint reading, with a strong commitment to quality and safety. As a full-time welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components according to specifications and blueprints in a factory environment.This is a full-time position and two shifts are offered. First shift is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Second shift runs four ten-hour days, Monday through Thursday, 5 pm to 3:30 am. Overtime is available, but not required.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding on various metals and alloys, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steelRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to understand project requirementsSet up welding equipment, including power sources, wire feeders, and shielding gas systemsSelect appropriate welding techniques, equipment, and materials based on job specificationsFabricate metal components and structures according to blueprints and engineering specificationsInspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project requirementsPerform necessary repairs or modifications to existing metal structuresMaintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulationsCollaborate with other team members, including fabricators, engineers, and quality control personnelTroubleshoot welding equipment and report any malfunctions or issues to supervisorsParticipate in ongoing training and skill development to stay current with industry advancementsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding preferredMinimum of 1 years of experience as a professional welderProficiency in MIG welding techniques and equipmentStrong blueprint reading skills and ability to interpret technical drawingsKnowledge of various metals and their propertiesFamiliarity with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME)Experience with other welding processes (TIG, Stick) is a plusValid welding certification(s) preferredExcellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detailStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
