Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity

Seeking a qualified RN to join the Medical Surgical/Tele unit as part of a resource float pool. The candidate will be allocated to Cherokee Medical Center with the possibility of floating to the main campus as needed, providing flexible staffing coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients on the Medical Surgical/Tele unit.
• Pass arrhythmia and medication tests on the first day of orientation.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including other units within the campus if required.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including passing fit tests and following infection control procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and care provided.
• Comply with all shift requirements, including night shifts and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license or pending license accepted with commitment to obtain prior to start.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a Medical Surgical/Tele setting preferred.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS required; NIH certification preferred.
• Ability to pass cardiac dysrhythmia and medication tests during orientation.
• Capable of working night shifts and floating within scope.
• Demonstrates strong clinical skills, adaptability, and compliance with hospital policies.
