We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team! In this vital role, you will assist clients in preparing accurate and compliant tax returns, ensuring they maximize their deductions while adhering to current tax laws. Responsibilities

Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns using tax preparation software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations
Analyze financial documents such as W-2s, 1099s, receipts, and bank statements to gather necessary information for tax reporting
Communicate effectively with clients to gather missing information, clarify financial details, and explain tax-related questions
Stay current with changes in tax law and regulations to ensure all filings meet legal requirements
Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize deductions and credits for future filings
Manage multiple client accounts efficiently using QuickBooks accounting software and Drake Tax software.

Requirements

Proven experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related fields with a strong understanding of tax law and compliance standards
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Drake Accounting & Tax Software.
Solid knowledge of tax concepts including individual, corporate, partnership, and small business taxes
Strong analysis skills to interpret financial documents accurately and identify potential deductions or issues
Excellent client communication skills to explain complex tax information clearly and professionally
Ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality and integrity
Basic math skills along with proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry
Experience with Drake Tax software and familiarity with bookkeeping practices is highly desirable
